Naples is seems to be one of the very few cities in Italy that do not have a single 5-star hotel. However hotels tend to be overpriced in relation to what you get. You will need a good travel or hotel guide to catch a bargain for your stay in Naples. Notoriously famous, Neapolitans do not really see a reason in offering discounts.

Cheap Hotel Reservation

Bear in mind that when you book your budget hotel, B&B or hostel accommodation in Italy and or of those cheaper places and you will be arriving late in the afternoon or in the evening, that it might be a good idea to call the hotel and let them know when about you will be arriving, if the hotel reservation manager of a budget hotel thinks you won’t show up he will be very tempted to book your room for someone else just in case you do not show up anymore. But this happens only with very cheap places and only when you do not let them know that you might be arriving very late on your first day of stay.
